Raffles Rugby Union (RRU) was established in 2010 by alumni committed to preserving Raffles Institution’s rugby legacy. Under founding president Rajoo Armudalingam, RRU launched key initiatives to strengthen the rugby programme, including funding mental skills and specialist coaches. Over the years, RRU has collaborated closely with RI and parents, culminating in the launch of its most significant initiative in 2020 — the Gryphons Rugby Academy, dedicated to the continued development of RI Rugby.
